Over three days, campers will build a full chess board from contrasting hardwoods—learning precision measuring, cutting, glue-ups, and finishing techniques along the way.

This isn’t multiple small projects. It’s one serious build.

What They’ll Build:

Heirloom Wooden Chess Board — Over three days, campers will build a complete chess board from two contrasting woods. This project demands precision measuring, careful cutting, proper grain alignment, and meticulous finishing. The result is a heirloom-quality piece they’ll keep for decades.

Schedule:

• Dates: August 17, 18, 19
• AM: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• PM (Added if AM spots are filled): 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
