In this two-hour workshop, you'll build a solid wood plant stand from the ground up, learning a genuine joinery technique along the way: hand-cut lap joints, where the crossed support braces are notched to interlock flush and tight. This isn't glue-and-screw assembly — it's the same joinery principle used in fine furniture, scaled down into a project you'll finish in one sitting.

You'll make: A four-legged solid wood plant stand with crossed lap-joint bracing, squared and assembled by hand, finished with a durable stain.

You'll learn:
