Safety Shop Course | All New Members
Safety Shop Course is Available to NEW Members and Apprentices Only
Ready to unlock 24/7 access to Columbia's most comprehensive woodworking space? Our Shop Safety Course is your essential first step to becoming a confident, independent maker at Sawdust Studios.
What You'll Learn
This isn't your typical safety lecture. For 2 hours, you'll get hands-on experience with every major tool in our shop. You'll start with rough-sawn lumber and transform it into a perfectly milled board – experiencing the complete process that forms the foundation of all woodworking.
You'll master our essential machines including the miter saw, bandsaw, resaw bandsaw, jointer, planer, table saws, and router table. Along the way, we'll cover critical shop rules, proper PPE usage, dust collection procedures, and the etiquette that keeps our community space running smoothly.
Your journey from visitor to maker starts here. Ready to discover what you're capable of creating?
Duration: 2 hours
