The Maker’s Monthly Apprenticeship is a structured, hands-on woodworking program designed for students ready to grow their skills through consistent practice, expert mentorship, and real project builds.
This is not a drop-in class — it’s a committed path to becoming a confident, capable maker.
Each month, you’ll complete one fully guided project while building technical skill, tool confidence, and creative independence in the shop.

You’ll leave each month with a finished project — and stronger skills to match.
Sessions are limited to 10 apprentices per time slot to ensure hands-on guidance and personalized support.
The Maker’s Monthly Apprenticeship requires a minimum 3-month commitment.
Woodworking skill develops through repetition, mentorship, and consistency. This structure ensures meaningful growth — not surface-level exposure.
After the initial three months, your membership continues monthly unless canceled.

This ensures every member understands proper tool use, shop protocols, and safety standards so we can maintain a safe and professional environment.
If you’ve already taken the Safety Course, select “Yes” when enrolling. If not, please add it before your first session.
Members will be issued a key fob for shop access upon successful completion of the Sawdust Studio Safety Shop Course. If a member chooses to discontinue their membership for any reason, the key fob must be returned to Sawdust Studio. Failure to return the key fob will result in a $50 replacement fee, which may be charged to the member’s account.
